Examination and Promotion

Admission Procedure
  • Children of 3+ years are admitted to play group.  (Pre-Nursery)

  • The candidates seeking admission to play group will not be given any written test.

  • Fee will be collected in quarterly installments.

  • Mere registration is no guarantee of admission.

  • Admission will be confirmed on the basis of a written test.

  • Registration fee is non-refundable even if the child is not granted admission. Original passing certificate of previous affiliated school will have to be submitted.

  • For admission, a birth certificate issued by the Municipal Commissioner is mandatory.

  • Dues, once paid, are not refundable.

  • Registration Form has to be filled by Parents/Guardians.

  • Student Passing Certificate & T.C. drawn  from Previous school is mandatory to be submitted while taking admission.

  • Student Permanent Education Number is mandatory.

School Uniform

Students should be properly dressed. Each student must wear the I-card.

Fancy jewellery, clips, hairbands, etc. are strictly prohibited.

Examination and Promotion

Comprehensive and Continuous Evaluation is an ongoing process. Apart from Annual and Half Yearly Exams, Periodic Tests are held regularly. Academic progress of the student is intimated to the Guardians through the Progress Report after every Test and Terminal Examination.

Examination Pattern For Pre. Nursery & Nursery:

Students of classes Pre. Nursery and Nursery will be assessed on the basis of their day-to-day performance and Internal Assessment. 

No Formal Examination or test will be conducted for them.

The Academic year will have three Periodic Tests, Half-Yearly Exam and Annual Exam for classes Prep to IX and XI.

I Periodic Test – In the month of May.

II Periodic Test – In the month of July.

III Periodic Test – In the month of December.

Half-Yearly Exams – In the month of September, comprising oral and written exams, viva, and practicals in varied subjects.

Annual Exams – In the month of March, comprising oral and written exams, viva, and practicals.

Guidelines of Periodic Tests:

Periodic Tests will be conducted

  • 25marks (up to class- IV),
  • 50 marks( From classes V to VIII ),
  • 30 marks ( in Class IX & XI) for the Duration of 1hr.30min.
  1. Syllabus and Marking Scheme will be provided to the students along with the Date sheet of the exams through Student Almanac as well as through WhatsApp Class groups .
  2. Attendance in all tests is compulsory.
  3. No re-test will be conducted at any level.
  4. Strict action will be taken against the students using unfair means .
  5. Regular Classes will be held after the Periodic Test.
Half Yearly Exams – In the Month of September
Guidelines of Half Yearly Exams
  1. No re-test will be conducted.
  2. Half Yearly Exams will be conducted for 80 marks.
  3. Duration of exam will be 3 hours.50% of entire syllabus will be covered in the Half Yearly.
  4. Absentees other than those on medical grounds will be marked absent in pen and paper test and no grades will be awarded.
  5. Leave on medical ground will be granted only getting it sanctioned in advance along with medical certificate & medical fitness certificate should be submitted while re-joining the school.
Guidelines for Annual Examination- In the Month of March
  1. No re-test will be conducted.
  2. Annual Examination will be conducted for 80 marks.
  3. Duration of exam will be 3 hours.
  4. 100% syllabus will be covered in the Annual Examination.
  5. Absentees other than those on medical grounds will be marked absent in pen and paper test and no grades will be awarded.
  6. Leave on medical ground will be granted only getting it sanctioned in advance along with medical certificate & medical fitness certificate should be submitted while re-joining the school.
Grading scale for scholastic areas :

Fourth Saturday of the month, is scheduled for an interaction between the parents and teachers to co-ordinate the work of the students in school and at home as well as to share the Academic progress and problems of the  particular student .

Grading scale for scholastic areas :

For the holistic development of the student, co-curricular activities in the following areas be carried out and will be graded term-wise on a 3-point grading scale:

A = Outstanding,

B= Very Good

C=Fair

The aspect of regularity, sincere participation, output and teamwork is the generic criteria for grading in the following co-scholastic activities:

  • Work Education – Work Education refers to skill-based activities resulting in goods or services useful to the community.
  • Art Education (Visual & Performing Art).
  • Health and Physical Education (Sports/Martial Arts/Yoga/NCC etc.).
Discipline (Classes I-IX)

The students will also be assessed for the discipline which will be based on the factors like attendance, sincerity, behaviour, values, tidiness, respectfulness for rules and regulations, attitude towards society, nation and others.

Grading on Discipline will be done Term-Wise on a 3-point grading scale

A = Outstanding,

B= Very Good

C=Fair

  1. For classes, Prep to XII Monthly Tests/Weekly Test will be conducted for better Academic Performance of students.
  2. For classes, X & XII, Practicals will held in the month of February.
  3. Final Result will be assessed on the basis of above mentioned Examinations.
